Tonight
Tonight michael was trying to get Emry to put on her pajamas but she just wasn't too enthused about it. Then instead of losing his patience with her he put all of the clothes she wore that day on his head. She LOVED this! He was able to then slip her pajamas on her without her even noticeing. Watching him do this reminded me of the 90-10 principle video lauren had on her blog. If you didn't see it, it talks about how we don't have control over a lot of the things that happen to us in life, we only have control on how we react to them. This has left a huge impression on me. Michael could have gotten mad at Emry and forced her pajamas on her tonight and she would have gone to bed in tears and we would have gone to bed feeling guilty, or he could have done what he did and we can now go to bed peacefully. Thank-you michael, I love you!!

You are a perfect example of the 90/10 principle, Erin. You always have the best attitude and response. No matter what the chaos is all around you, you are always kind and gentle to everyone. The girls and I always say when we grow up we want to be just like you.
