"thrifty"

I created cheap pillows in under an hour. It is soooo easy! I just found two sets of place mats and sewed them together and "viola" new pillows for our couch. I believe that one of my goals in life is to see how little I can get away with paying for things. I used to go garage selling in Kansas almost every saturday morning with my mom and find all sorts of treasures to bring home for us to fix up, good memories. Now I love to go to D.I. and any consignment shop that I can find. It is almost an obsession but it is my passion. So I supose I blame you mom.....and thank-you.

Erin I love them! You are so creative and turning into quite the crafty girl! I can't wait to live close to you so you can help me with some ideas I have. I think this summer once a month we should have a craft night. You are good at finding deals and bargains so I'll have to go shopping with you and then we can create some of your magic. And i love the couch! I can't wait to see them!

Wow! Between the pillows, the leggings and the capes for the girls I just can't keep up with how crafty you are. You need to take me shopping with you the next time you go to DI so you can show me the trix of the trade on finding good deals. Can't wait to see the couch, you need to post some pictures of it, or maybe we will just come up there for dinner or desert sometime and have see it in real life. P.S. Did I say I LOVE the pillow if not I LOVE the pillows.

Great job Erin!! You are so awesome, like the Grocery Guru, you are DI Diva. I love how you just go for it, and I am also hoping that you washed the placemats before you sewed them, sorry I am just such a clean freak! Love you.

Those are so cute. What do you use to stuff them? And we're going to have to go shopping sometime so you can show me the tricks of the trade. What was the fabric store in Lehi you were in? I want to go see their fabric

How did I miss this newest post. It's several days old and I just saw it. I love the pillows. When you showed me the placemats they shouted out your name. I thought they had probably spoken to you in the store. I could hear them, "Erin, take us home and we will be best friends with Emry and Amelia while pillow fighting with their dad and make it feel like spring in your home." Yep, that's exactly what they said. They are you, fun and happy!

You need pictures of you lounging on the new couch. Oh, yeah, you need to post about your NEW lamp too;)
